IPA Philippines Signs Memorandum of Understanding for mEducation with Philippine Normal University
On July 7, 2026, IPA Philippines and Philippine Normal University (PNU) formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for mEducation at the PNU Manila campus. The ceremony was attended by representatives from both institutions. Through this partnership, PNU will integrate the mEducation program into their teacher training pathways through their National Service Training Program (NSTP), engaging pre-service teachers in community-based education initiatives that support foundational learning and learning recovery efforts among Filipino learners. Further, by expanding implementation through government, university, and NGO partnerships, IPA is reaching more learners and bringing more meaningful learning opportunities.
In the Philippines, mEducation helps students in remote and underserved communities strengthen foundational numeracy skills, even where internet access is limited.
mEducation was recently awarded the Bronze level for Equity in the EduEvidence 2026, an international certification of evidence of impact in education. This recognition highlights mEducation’s contribution to underserved and hard-to-reach communities.
