On September 28, IPA's Director of the Human Trafficking Research Initiative (HTRI), Jeni Sorensen, presented on a panel held by the Walk Free Foundation about an updated version of a modern slavery promising practices database released by the Foundation.This database is complementary to HTRI's recently-released Learning and Research Agenda.

From September 28-29, the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) and the University of Johannesburg’s Centre for Competition, Regulation and Economic Development (CCRED) hosted the 8th Annual Capacity Building Workshop and Symposium on Competition Law and Policy during the 6th Annual Competition and Economic Regulation (ACER) Week (ACER VI).Rafe Mazer, Director of Consumer Protection, at IPA moderated a panel discussion on the linkages between competition policy and data protection law.
