Aug 25 IPA Philippines Presents the mEducation Project at the Research O’Clock 2021 Post Teaser Text On August 25, IPA Philippines presented the results of the pre-pilot study of the mEducation program at the virtual Research O’clock 2021: Evidence on Learning Continuity.The session focused on research presenting evidence on pedagogical practices in distance education.Rene Marlon Panti (Senior Research Associate, IPA Philippines) gave a presentation of the mEducation project, a mobile-phone-based intervention implemented in partnership with Young1ove and DepEd. Aug 19 Webinar | Shifting Individual Behaviors in High Risk Settings: Lessons from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Inspired Interventions Post Teaser Text On August 19, Ricardo Morel, IPA's Peace and Recovery Program Director, and Aprille Knox, Policy Manager at J-PAL, joined USAID's Center for Democracy, Human Rights and Governance (DRG) Community of Practice to present emerging evidence on interventions aimed at reducing or preventing the violent behavior of individuals in high-crime or conflict setting.The session provided a snapshot of different interventions in the U.S., Liberia, and Mexico, with a special focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) inspired programs as an approach for shifting individuals’ decision-making processes and behaviors.
