On March 27, 2014, the Centre for Economic and Financial Research and the Citi Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, held a conference on youth financial literacy and education.The conference brought together international and Russian experts, practitioners, teachers, and academics to share experiences and expertise on financial literacy initiatives.Beniamino Savonitto, Associate Program Director for the Financial Inclusion Program's Financial Capability Research Fund, participated in a panel on rigorous methodologies for evaluating the impact of financial literacy programs.

We are at an exciting phase in understanding how to bring research results to scale.   During this symposium we will hear researchers and practitioners discuss the challenges and opportunities during the piloting, evaluation and scaling phases of programs.    A cocktail reception announcing the launch of Evidence Action will follow the symposium.

IPA Burkina Faso hosted an impact workshop titled “Girls’ Schooling in Burkina Faso: Effects of Conditional and Unconditional Cash Transfers.” Richard Akresh (Illinois University) presented the results of a 2010 survey in southern Burkina Faso.
