The SEEP Network, in collaboration with Forum Partners, hosted the 2017 Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Global Learning Forum in Bangkok, Thailand from May 23-25. Women’s financial inclusion was a key focus of the WEE Global Learning Forum.As part of the event, the Grameen Foundation invited Innovations for Poverty Action, along with BRAC and CARE, to debate the best way to close the digital financial services gender gap. Bhavani Prathap Kasina, IPA Regional Director, Asia and Latin America, argued that more inclusively designed products are important but must be introduced together with training, customer support, and peer networks to improve digital literacy.

On May 22-23, 2017, IPA Philippines conducted a Theory of Change and Monitoring & Evaluation Workshop for the Office of the Vice President (OVP) of the Philippines.The workshop took place in Quezon City and was attended by 28 participants from different departments of the OVP.

In partnership with J-PAL Southeast Asia, IPA Philippines conducted a Measurement and Survey Design Workshop for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)'s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) on May 18-19, 2017.The workshop was attended by ten participants and held at the DSWD Complex in Quezon City, Philippines.
