Jul 23 IPA Kenya Facilitates Policy Opportunity Matchmaking Workshop at the 8th Annual EASST Summit Post Teaser Text On July 23, IPA Kenya facilitated a policy opportunity matchmaking workshop as part of the 8th Annual EASST Summit.The workshop was attended by EASST fellows, NIERA alumni, CEGA affiliates, partner organizations, and Kenya government officials.The objective of this workshop was to provide a platform for these groups to connect and start new scale-up and impact evaluation consulting opportunities that will be partially funded by EASST through its “Policy Engagement Grant” program.The session focused on four sectors: education, health, agriculture, and financial inclusion. The Summit showcased locally generated research alongside the research of U.S.based academics while facilitating a dialogue between policymakers, practitioners, and researchers regarding opportunities for evidence-informed policymaking in East Africa. Donors also offered their perspective on supporting impact evaluation capacity in East Africa. The event was hosted in partnership with IPA, UN Kenya's SDG Innovation Lab, the Africa Population Health Research Center (APHRC), the United States International University (USIU), and the Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA).
