Webinar | Bridging Evidence and Practice: Strengthening Research to Policy Pathways in RSEL
Thursday 17th & Friday 18th of October, 2024 | 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM EAT | Kyambogo University and Online (Hybrid)
In today’s global research ecosystem, the voices and expertise of researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are essential for generating credible and impactful evidence. These researchers are best positioned to understand the development challenges of their communities, and their involvement ensures that research remains relevant and translates into meaningful policy action.
IPA is committed to strengthening the research capacity of African-led education research institutions and local researchers as part of its Researcher Diversification Strategy. In partnership with Kyambogo University, IPA hosted a workshop to strengthen partnerships and researchers' capacity in the production and dissemination of evidence to inform policy on Whole Child Development (WCD), with a specific emphasis on Resilience and Social Emotional Learning (RSEL). In this hybrid event, speakers from academia, funding organizations, and research and policy institutions shared their experiences in working with multiple partners on using research to inform policy. Participants also gained valuable insights from experienced African researchers who have worked on RSEL.
