Price Transparency

Price Transparency

Digital finance markets are often opaque, with hidden fees and complex terms that make it difficult for consumers to compare products, while informal fees increase real costs for consumers. Weak competition can further limit consumer choice and keep prices high. IPA builds tools to systematically track prices and studies interventions that promote transparency and competition. By reducing information gaps and overpricing, this work helps consumers choose services that meet their needs at fair cost.
