IPA's Consumer Protection Research Initiative supports policymakers, financial service providers, and civil society in understanding risks faced by digital finance users and developing and testing consumer protection solutions in emerging markets. As part of this initiative, IPA runs periodic surveys of digital finance consumers to understand the challenges users face, how these challenges impact different consumer segments, and how risks evolve over time. Survey results and microdata are available below.
