Paul Adams directs both IPA's Consumer Protection Research Initiative (CPRI) and IPA's Financial Inclusion Program (FIP). This work is to enhance access and usage to responsible and inclusive financial markets. Prior to joining IPA, he had over a decade of experience in financial regulation and research. He co-founded the Behavioural Economics and Data Science Unit at the UK Financial Conduct Authority, before helping the Dutch Authority for Financial Markets develop a research strategy. He is a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics Department for Psychology and Behavioural Science. He holds a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Development Economics, both from Manchester University.
