Lina Hochhalter is a Senior Research Associate at IPA Uganda. She has worked on different projects under IPA’s Consumer Protection Research Initiative, including research on the cost of mobile money transactions, usage of digital financial services in Nigeria, and a cooperation with Bank of Uganda. Prior to joining IPA, Lina worked as a Research Assistant at the University EAFIT in Medellin, Colombia. She previously was a Trainee at the European Parliament within the macroeconomic policy and banking unit. Lina holds a master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Göttingen, Germany, and received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Economics from Lund University in Sweden.
