Brian Mwesigwa is a development researcher focused on generating rigorous evidence to address policy and development challenges. As Associate Director, Research for IPA Nigeria, he leads research portfolios for the country office, provides technical and strategic guidance to research teams, and drives research quality. He works with governments, regulators, and development partners to design evaluations, diagnose market and institutional challenges, and translate findings into actionable policy recommendations. His expertise spans impact evaluation, consumer protection, digital financial services, and institutional capacity-building, with a focus on strengthening evidence use and improving policies, programs, and public service.
