The Forum on Investing in Young Children Globally, in partnership with the Jacobs Foundation, the Institute for Human Development at Aga Khan University, and the Bernard van Leer Foundation, convened its ninth and final workshop to explore topics related to innovations in investing in young children globally.During the course of the 2-day workshop, researchers, policy makers, program practitioners, industry partners, funders, and other experts came together to highlight innovative research, policy, business models, and implementation strategies occurring in West Africa and around the world that positively affect investments made in young children.

On October 19th and 20th, 2016, J-PAL LAC and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) Peru participated in the organization of the V Meeting of the Peruvian Network of Monitoring and Evaluation (REDPERUME).REDPERUME is a network of professionals, most of them from academia and the public sector, seeking to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation culture in Peru.Since 2012 they hold annual meetings to discuss issues pertaining to the monitoring and evaluation fields.J-PAL/IPA have participated in the organization of these meetings since 2013.

IPA Myanmar Country Representative Jihae Hong participated in a panel discussion (titled The Application of Quantitative Impact Evaluations to Support Decision Making in Private Sector Development Programming and Policy) at the University of Sydney on Monday, October 17, 2016.The panel discussion was part of a one-day Development Policy Workshop on "The Role of the Private Sector in Economic Development: Evidence, Policy and Practice," hosted by the University of Sydney's School of Economics.Topics covered in the workshop included access to finance and financial inclusion, agriculture, business environment and economic governance, and urbanization and employment.
