Aug 04 Generating Impact: Innovation and Evidence for Public Policy in Education (Generando Impacto: Innovación y Evidencia para la Política Pública Educativa) Post Teaser Text English On August 4th, IPA Paraguay and the Ministry of Education (MEC) co-hosted the event “Generating Impact: Innovation and Evidence for Public Policy in Education.” The event took place in Asunción, Paraguay.With the objective of contributing to the debate on policy decisions in education, the event presented the state of experimental evidence on education, the insights of behavioral economics applied to education, and the use and generation of evidence in the public sector. The first panel started with the presentation “Interventions in Education: Experimental Evidence—Lessons from Medium and Low-Income Countries” by Andrew Dustan (Vanderbilt University). During the workshop, participants worked in groups with Andrew Dustan (Vanderbilt University), Stanislao Maldonado (Universidad del Rosario) and Sergio De Marco (Research Manager, IPA), as well as with teaching assistants from IPA.
