The panel was convened as part of the LACEA Network on Inequality and Poverty's America Latina Crime and Policy Network workshop. May 20 IPA and J-PAL Co-Host Event with Policymakers on Evidence in Gender-Based Violence On May 20, IPA Peru and J-PAL LAC co-hosted a dissemination event where researchers Erica Field (Duke University) and Ursula Aldana (Instituto de Estudios Peruanos) presented baseline findings from “Leaders in Action,” a program that trains local leaders to become community health volunteers and raise awareness of gender-based violence (GBV) in their villages, to a policy audience at the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP).
