On January 13, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the independent National Regulatory Authority for the telecommunications industry in Nigeria, and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the establishment of the NCC’s Consumer Protection Embedded Evidence Lab. The initiative aims to support NCC in integrating data and evidence into its consumer protection policies and programs. This initiative will help NCC improve its market monitoring, risk prioritization, policy formulation, and effective consumer empowerment.
