Peter Gufu Oba Is a Professor Emeritus from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Landscape and Society at Ås, Norway. Training in interdisciplinary subjects, Professor Gufu Oba has, during 30 years of research and teaching, developed high-level competence in various subjects ranging from science, anthropology, environmental history, and pastoralism. He has authored and co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed articles and five books. His latest research interest is climate adaptations among pastoralist societies of the Horn and Eastern Africa. Professor Oba is currently the Director of the Gaadisa Gummi Foundation, an indigenous nonprofit institution for training pastoralists.
