Research Scientist
Nouréini is a Research Scientist in the Applied Research & Methods Group (ARM Group) at IPA, focusing on supporting the Poverty Probability Index (PPI) team. He uses data science and econometrics for poverty reduction and sustainability. He studies agricultural impacts in the Sahel and develops machine learning models for predicting resilience and monitoring deforestation, blending traditional and modern methods to address global issues. Nouréini holds an engineering diploma in Agricultural Economics from Morocco's National School of Agriculture, Master’s degrees in Food Security and Econometrics and Data Science from Université Paris-Saclay and Aix-Marseille University, respectively, and a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from CERDI.
