Mark is a political scientist who spent his career studying local elections, local governance, the experiences of marginalized populations, and the effects (and related risks) of social media on democracy, conflict, and the well-being of under-represented groups. He has a broad research skill set in academic and applied settings that includes surveys, experiments, behavioral measurement, co-design, program evaluation, fieldwork, qualitative research, and semi-structured interviews.
