Jane Esberg is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania and a faculty affiliate at the Center for Latin American and Latinx Studies. Her research uses text and statistical analysis to better understand authoritarian repression and censorship, particularly in Latin America and Spain. Her work has appeared in or is forthcoming at The American Political Science Review, The Journal of Politics, Political Science Research and Methods, and Comparative Political Studies. She has additionally consulted for the International Crisis Group and the United Nations.
