Ignacio is an applied economist with a focus on econometrics, working at the intersection of crime and development economics. He studied how the presence of large Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTOs) impact both homicides and middle school dropouts. More broadly, he is interested in studying how crime in the developing world impacts individual and household behavior.
