Associate Research and Policy Manager

Henry Atimone is an Associate Research and Policy Manager at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) Ghana, where he leads the implementation and policy engagement of large-scale education research and technical assistance initiatives. His work focuses on strengthening evidence-based policymaking and improving education systems through rigorous research, monitoring, and government partnerships.

Henry works closely with the Ghana Education Service and other education sector stakeholders to support the design, implementation, and scale-up of innovative interventions aimed at improving teaching practices and student learning outcomes. He plays a key role in coordinating research activities, managing multidisciplinary project teams, and ensuring that research findings translate into actionable policy insights.

His portfolio includes supporting the scale-up of Differentiated Learning under the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP), as well as contributing to evaluations of education programs focused on teacher effectiveness, early childhood education, and community engagement. In his role, Henry oversees multiple research projects, manages partnerships with government and development partners, and supports the development of new research and policy initiatives.

Henry Atimone has several years of experience at IPA Ghana and is currently focused on the Strengthening Teachers Accountability to Reach All Students (STARS) Project. He has supported several projects over the course of his time at IPA Ghana, including Quality Preschool for Ghana (QP4G) and Fast Track Transformational Teacher-Training (FTTT).
