Emmanuel Bakirdjian is IPA’s Regional Director for East Africa and Asia. Emmanuel is passionate about developing, evaluating, and scaling innovations that improve the lives of people living in poverty. Prior to IPA, Emmanuel was a Director at the Development Innovation Lab (DIL) supporting a multi-country safe water research initiative. Prior to DIL, Emmanuel was the Africa Regional Director at Precision Development (PxD), an evidence-led NGO providing mobile-based advisory services for smallholder farmers in Africa. Emmanuel holds a MPhil in Development Economics and a MSc in Economic Development and Project Analysis from CERDI (Centre for Studies and Research on International Development), University of Clermont Auvergne, France.
