Duke University

F. Christopher Eaglin is an Assistant Professor in the Strategy Area at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He works at the intersection of strategy, entrepreneurship, and economic development, focusing on how entrepreneurs set strategies in uncertain environments, how entrepreneurship environments are governed, and how firm strategy-setting impacts the building of inclusive and sustainable economies. He relies primarily on econometric causal inference methods, combining them with qualitative and survey techniques, and collaborates closely with entrepreneurs, financiers, nonprofit organizations, and governments. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Strategy at Harvard Business School. Prior to academia, he worked in the nonprofit sector, financial services, consulting, and Fortune 500 companies developing infrastructure and services for marginalized populations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and South Africa.
