Andrés is an Associate Director in the Right-Fit Evidence Unit. Prior to IPA, he led the technology advisory function at GiveDirectly, where he partnered with governments in East and West Africa to improve social protection systems and deliver national cash transfers at scale. Andrés has ten years of experience working across research and policy in several sectors including financial inclusion, youth employment, and education. He holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Princeton University, a MASc in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MPA in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School.
