This workshop was organized by the Decent Jobs for Youth initiative in partnership with IPA, l’Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the Grand-Duché de Luxembourg, and the International Labour Organization (ILO).The aim of this workshop was to increase the quality of robust evidence on what works concerning youth employment projects in the Sahel region.The science behind impact evaluations is key in creating more robust evidence.

From March 3-5, IPA Philippines and Australia National University (ANU) co-hosted three introductory impact evaluation workshops in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.The workshops aimed to inform audiences from Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (on March 3); international organizations, NGOs and think tanks (on March 4); and Papua New Guinea government officials (on March 5). The overall objective of these workshops was to introduce impact evaluation processes and methods, with a focus on randomized evaluations, encouraging increased use of rigorous evidence in development policymaking and programming in Papua New Guinea.
