Apr 27 IPA Presents at CIES 2021 on Measuring Socio-Emotional Skills for the Workforce in Africa Post Teaser Text On April 27, 2021, IPA presented in a joint panel at CIES 2021 titled, "What’s good enough in SEL and Soft Skills Measurement?" Smita Das (Program Manager for IPA's Social Protection Program), Catherine Honeyman (World Learning), Elizabeth Kim (International Youth Foundation), and Allyson Krupar (Save the Children US) shared each organization's soft skill measures and had a conversation discussing tough decisions and tradeoffs they made along the way in developing these measures, including responding to the COVID-19 crisis, ethical concerns, local use of measures, and locally-based development processes. On April 28, Dean Karlan and Patrick Premand spoke on a panel on emerging evidence and Kathleen Beegle moderated a panel about addressing economic inequality among women.And researcher Angela Ofori-Atta presented an updated version of a presentation of her work studying mental health in Ghana.
