IPA Presents at 2021 Philippine Economics Society Conference
On November 12, IPA hosted a parallel session at the 59th Philippine Economics Society Conference (virtual) at 8:30-10 AM PHT. This session, titled "Can Digital G2P Payments be the Future of Cash Transfer Programming?" was organized and moderated by IPA Philippines Country Director Nasserena Sampaco-Baddiri and included three presentations:
- Cesi Cruz (Assistant Professor, UCLA) on "Monitoring Digital Financial Payments of Cash Transfers in the Philippines"
- Yoonyoung Cho (Senior Economist, The World Bank) on "COVID-19 G2P Cash-Transfer Payments Case Study: Philippines"
- Kate Glynn-Broderick (Financial Inclusion Program Associate Director, IPA) on "Digitization of Government to People Cash Transfers: Understanding Beneficiaries’ Experiences"
