IPA Zambia presented on a study by Günther Fink, Rachel Levenson, Peter Rockers, and Sarah Tembo evaluating the effect of growth charts on child development. Apr 16 IPA Peru Presents Preliminary Results of Returns to Education Evaluation On April 16, IPA Peru shared preliminary results of an impact evaluation conducted with the Peruvian Ministry of Education.The study evaluated the effectiveness of information campaigns in increasing students' and parents' understanding of the returns to education and reducing school dropout and child labor in rural and urban areas.The campaigns were delivered as telenovela-style videos and an interactive app on tablets. Oswaldo Molina, an Associate Professor at the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, presented on the preliminary findings at the U.S.Department of Labor. Following opening remarks by IPA Philippines Country Director Nassreena Sampaco-Baddiri, Sebastian Chaskel, Director of IPA’s Peace and Recovery Program; and Cillian Nolan, Policy Manager for J-PAL’s Crime, Violence and Conflict Sector; presented evidence from studies conducted around the world in the Peace and Recovery space.
