On September 28, IPA and J-PAL co-hosted a dissemination event titled "Deciding for a Better Future" (DFM) in Lima, Peru.DFM refers to an intervention to combat school dropout and child labor and promote secondary and higher education, designed and evaluated through collaboration between IPA, J-PAL, MineduLAB, the United States Department of Labor*, and researchers from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Princeton University, and Universidad del Pacífico.During the event, researcher Christopher Neilson presented the results of DFM in the reduction of school dropout and child labor, among other impacts of high interest for policy design.

On September 25, IPA Myanmar hosted its first of a series of roundtables to discuss the potential use of impact evaluations for programming and policy across various sectors in Myanmar.This inaugural roundtable focused on governance, conflict, and peace-building, with representatives from 10 organizations in attendance.

On September 18, IPA Ghana and the National Board of Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) co-hosted a roundtable on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) entitled “SMEs in Ghana: From Evidence to Action” at The African Regent Hotel in Accra.The purpose of this event was threefold: to hear from high-level policymakers on the most pressing challenges in the sector, to share policy lessons from rigorous evidence generated on the topic, and to build new relationships that will translate into collaboration across sectors.
