The Summit showcased locally generated research alongside the research of U.S.based academics while facilitating a dialogue between policymakers, practitioners, and researchers regarding opportunities for evidence-informed policymaking in East Africa. Donors also offered their perspective on supporting impact evaluation capacity in East Africa. The event was hosted in partnership with IPA, UN Kenya's SDG Innovation Lab, the Africa Population Health Research Center (APHRC), the United States International University (USIU), and the Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA). Jul 18 IPA Holds M&E Workshop for Supreme Court of the Philippines: Part 1 On July 18-19, IPA held the first of the workshops in a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) training series for the Supreme Court of the Philippines.Over the course of the two days, the fifty-two Supreme Court staff across eight offices were introduced to key concepts of M&E.The participants, under their respective offices, worked on developing a relevant theory of change and applying CART principles as they began to build out an M&E framework, in between lectures on these concepts.
