IPA Participates in Strategic Advisory Council Meeting at World Bank-UNHCR Joint Data Center on Forced Displacement
The Joint Data Center’s 2022 Strategic Advisory Council included a panel to gather suggestions, feedback, and other inputs on their new and upcoming Knowledge Agenda, which is envisioned to pivot around four main pillars: data and evidence gap maps, building a virtual marketplace for researchers and practitioners, knowledge dissemination papers, and stakeholders’ training and capacity building.
The meeting had opening remarks from Björn Gillsater, Chair of the JDC Management Committee, followed by a keynote speech by Ana Maria Ibañez, Economics Principal Advisor at the Interamerican Development Bank and Professor at the Universidad de Los Andes. Then, the panel discussed the four pillars of JDC’s knowledge agenda. Ricardo Morel, Peace & Recovery Program Director, participated as a panelist representing IPA and was accompanied by Marie Gaarder, Executive Director of 3ie, and Tilman Brück, Director of the International Security and Development Center and Professor at Humboldt-University of Berlin. The conversation was moderated by Jeffrey Tanner, Economist at the World Bank.
