IPA Conducts M&E Workshop for Supreme Court of the Philippines
On January 25-27, IPA Philippines held a training workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) with the Supreme Court of the Philippines (SC) at The Bayleaf - Intramuros, Manila City. The training workshop is the first in a series to develop the Supreme Court Data Hub—a joint project by SC and IPA with the objective of increasing court efficiency through a data-driven judiciary. Over the course of three days, sixteen SC staff from the Office of the Court Administrator and Project Management Office were introduced to the key concepts of M&E—including developing a theory of change, identifying key assumptions and risks, creating strong indicators using the CART principles (identifying Credible, Actionable, Reliable, and Transportable), and developing a data use plan. Atty. Laura C.H. del Rosario, Deputy Clerk of Court and Judicial Reform Program Administrator of the Supreme Court Program Management Office, opened the event, and Honorable Raul Villanueva, Court Administrator Raul Villanueva of the Supreme Court of the Philippines closed. The event was led by Jepoy Panti, Research Coordinator of IPA Philippines with support from Isa Fernandez, Yuri Leomo, Isha Cruz, and M Maines.
