Approaches to human capital investment: Lessons from experimental evidence
This brief summarizes key findings from 44 experimental and quasi-experimental studies, assessing the impact of human capital interventions on farmer knowledge and productivity in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). These interventions aimed to enhance farmer knowledge in farm management practices, technologies, and markets, employing both in-person and digital engagement methods. The primary objective of these interventions was to foster on-farm investment, improve productivity, and ultimately increase farm revenues and profits through effective knowledge sharing.
