Strengthening Collaboration among Researchers in Low- and Middle-Income Countries

As part of its Research Collaboration Initiative (RCI), IPA held a virtual webinar on September 4, 2025 from 6:00-7:15pm East Africa Time (EAT) / 4:00-5:15pm West Africa Time (WAT). This session served as a space for researchers in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to connect, share experiences, and explore opportunities to work together more effectively. The RCI Advisory Board played a central role in leading and contributing to this session, sharing insights, helping frame the conversation, and guiding discussions to ensure the event delivered practical value to the broader LMIC research community.
This webinar brought together LMIC researchers to share lessons, build networks, and provide practical guidance for building successful research collaborations. The objectives of the webinar were to:
- Strengthen partnership and collaboration among LMIC researchers;
- Create space for knowledge exchange and peer learning;
- Enhance LMIC-led research efforts and success stories; and
- Map potential partners for funding.
