Since the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands' visit to the Philippines in May, organized by IPA, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas announced several financial inclusion initiatives in progress. These efforts are informed by IPA-generated evidence: exploring uses for Open Finance, collecting data on the pricing of digital payments, and backing a legislative measure on internet access.
