Sylvan Herskowitz is an Economist in the World Bank's Development Impact Group (DECDI). He received his PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and also studied at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and Wesleyan University. Previously, he served as a Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger.

Sylvan works on a wide range of topics that include digital development, financial inclusion, sports betting, agricultural economics, and childcare.
