I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Williams College. I also am an associated research fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute in the Markets, Trade and Institutions Division. My research interest are in labor, demography and health topics in developing countries particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. I completed my undergraduate degree at Stellenbosch Univiersity (in South Africa); my Masters in Economics at the University of Cape Town and my PhD at the University of Michigan.
