Simón is an Associate Research Manager at IPA Colombia. Previously, he worked on designing, implementing, and evaluating public policies in social protection, education, and financial inclusion in the public sector. He has held positions at the National Planning Department, where he implemented Sisbén IV and Registro Social de Hogares, along with peace accords and public policy for internally displaced people. He has also worked on evaluations and consulted with USAID and IOM on financial inclusion and armed conflict, and worked at CEDE at the Universidad de los Andes. Simón holds an MS and a BA in Economics from Universidad de los Andes.
