Simón is a Senior Research Associate at IPA Colombia. Previously, he worked in the public sector in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public policies in social protection, education, and financial inclusion. Specifically, he held positions at the Departamento Nacional de Planeación, working in the implementation of Sisbén IV and Registro Social de Hogares, and with the implementation of the peace accords and the public policy for internally displaced people. In addition, Simón has worked in evaluations and has consulted with USAID and IOM on topics such as financial inclusion and armed conflict, and also worked at CEDE of the Universidad de los Andes. He holds an MS and a BA in Economics from Universidad de los Andes.
