Salvador Guerrero currently serves as director of the Legal Clinic for Refugee Persons "Alaíde Foppa," at Universidad Iberoamericana, he previously coordinated the human rights program at the National Autonomous University’s (UNAM) legal clinic. He has worked as a human rights defense lawyer, carrying out strategic litigation in cases involving individuals with protection needs and refugees, as well as in human rights cases involving civil, family, and administrative proceedings. He is a regular instructor at the Federal School of Judicial Training and at the Mexico City Superior Court of Justice.
