Renz Andrew Rafal is a Research Associate at IPA Philippines, contributing to a study under the Philippines Socioeconomic Panel Survey examining how natural disasters affect education, migration, labor, and child development in disaster-affected communities. Previously, he worked on global health and health systems research with academic, nonprofit, and government partners in Canada and the Philippines, contributing to policy and research reports on health equity, noncommunicable diseases, and public health systems. Renz holds an Honors Bachelor of Science in Global Health and Public Health Studies, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Toronto, and is pursuing an MPH at Michigan State University.
