Raj Vatsa is a 7th-year student in the Harvard/MIT MD-PhD Program, having completed two years at Harvard Medical School prior to enrolling in the PhD Program in Health Policy (Methods for Policy Research). Raj graduated from Harvard College in 2018 with an A.B. in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Global Health and Health Policy. His research interests involve leveraging methods in causal inference and machine learning to advance evidence-based maternity care and quality of maternal and newborn health outcomes in the U.S. and abroad.
