Monica Lambon-Quayefio is an applied microeconomist whose broad research focuses on gender and labor markets, social protection, education and digital innovations in agriculture. Her most recent work is focused on collaboration and networking among female entrepreneurs, online matching platforms and labor markets, education policies and household behavior, gender and social protection, and digitized credit and bundled services for smallholder farmers. Her research uses a mix of experimental approaches and other quantitative methods to explore the impact of interventions and policies. 

She is an affiliated researcher with J-PAL, BREAD and IGC, and an Associate Professor of Development Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Ghana. She holds a PhD in Economics from Clark University in Massachusetts (USA) where she also obtained her master’s degree in Economics. Her Bachelor of Arts degree was obtained in Economics with Mathematics from the University of Ghana.
