The University of Chicago
Michael Kremer is a University Professor in the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. He is the 2019 co-recipient of the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. He is a Member of the National Academy of Sciences, a recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship and a Presidential Faculty Fellowship, and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Dr. Kremer’s recent research examines development economics; field experiments; education, health, water, and agriculture in developing countries. Dr. Kremer received his PhD in Economics from Harvard University.
