Bio Info

Melissa Graboyes is a historian with two different areas of focus: the history of medicine and specifically epidemic diseases, and the history of modern Africa, with an emphasis on issues related to global health. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon. She received her Ph.D. in History and her Masters in Public Health from Boston University. Melissa has worked in the United States as a health educator with Planned Parenthood, and has led health outreach and advocacy programs in Botswana and Tanzania, working with global health organizations such as Population Services International.
