Mateo Valderrama is a Senior Policy Associate for Colombia where he supports the development and implementation of Embedded Evidence Labs. Before IPA, Mateo worked at Precision Development (PxD), advancing evidence-generation activities to strengthen PxD's digital advisory services for smallholder farmers. He also worked at Instiglio, a nonprofit consultancy advising governments and international donors to catalyze more effective spending by employing evidence- and performance-based programming. Mateo holds a double BA in Economics and Government and Public Affairs from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
