Martina Björkman Nyqvist is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Stockholm School of Economics. Her work focuses on health and education in developing countries. In particular, she studies the provision and impact of public services to the poor in Sub Saharan Africa. She has conducted a randomized evaluation of a community-based monitoring program in Uganda and is working on an evaluation of a comprehensive community empowerment project also in Uganda.
