Dr. Lydia Aletraris brings both a national and global perspective to her research, specializing in human trafficking and behavioral health. She has served as Co-Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on international projects focused on trafficking prevention and prevalence estimation. This includes her role as coordinator of the Prevalence Reduction Innovation Forum (PRIF), a global initiative that developed core indicators for trafficking and brought together scholars to test methodologies for measuring human trafficking prevalence, with studies conducted in Brazil, Costa Rica, Morocco, Pakistan, Tanzania, and Tunisia. She brings extensive experience managing research funded by the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Institutes of Health, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Domestically, she has served as Principal Investigator on research examining the implementation of evidence-based practices in substance use treatment and the impact of evolving U.S. cannabis policies.
