JJ is a Research Associate for IPA Philippines, assigned to the Supreme Court project. He is an early career researcher in economics with experience in causal inference in basic education, labor, and tobacco taxation research, qualitative health technology assessments, and international trade and finance. Prior to joining IPA, he served as a university lecturer of quantitative economics courses at the Carlos L. Tiu School of Economics, De La Salle University. JJ earned his Master of Science degree in Economics under the Bachelor's to Master's Honors Program from the same university.
