Frederico Finan is an Associate Professor of Development Economics and Political Economy at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on a broad range of economic topics in the areas of economic development and political economy, with a regional focus on Latin America. Ongoing projects include examining the effects of financial incentives on politicians' performance and understanding the role of social preferences on voting behavior.
